		<description>I could not agree with you more.  The first call should be to the local assessor.   Most every assessor has a public relations initiative that includes citizen outreach.  All of the professional assessors that I know welcome property owners to learn more about their assessments and exercise their right to challenge the assessment if they feel it is not assessed at the appropriate value or inequitable compared to similar properties.
